  • What is NCLEX?

The NCLEX i.e. National Council Licensure Examination is an examination conducted nationwide for licensing of nurses in the US and Canada. The examination has been designed for assessing the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant for practicing safe and effective entry-level nursing. The NCLEX examinations are developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN).

  • What is the eligibility criteria and application procedure for the Examination?

To register for taking the examination you need to first apply for a nursing license from your state board of nursing. The state board will determine your eligibility for the exam. Every state has different eligibility criteria and requirements.

Once you get through the verification process by the state board they will provide you an Authorization to Take the Test (ATT) with a list of testing centers and instructions about the process of scheduling an appointment to take the examination. Once you are done with the NCLEX registration its remains open for 365 days waiting for candidate eligibility. You will have to take the test within the valid dates of the ATT.

  • What is NCLEX RN?

NCLEX RN i.e. the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse is an examination conducted for the aspirants who have completed an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). The examination is based upon the five step nursing procedure that includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.

The NCLEX RN exam is a 6 hours exam. If you are preparing for this exam you can join a NCLEX RN review course that includes a full overview of the nursing process such as anatomy and physiology, clinical and psychological symptoms of diseases, aspects of pharmacotherapy, methods of research and diagnosis of various diseases, and more.
